I'll tell you, if I were to go the next hundred years before I hear another train, it would be all too soon,,just worked my 22nd day in a row. Hopefully the railroad nazi's don't read this, but I plan on being incredibly sick on labor day weekend, and I plan on going back to ole kentucky to recover,,,YeeHaw!!
Ive worked through Christmas, New Years, Easter, Memorial Day..... it's time for a well deserved rest from the whistles and rails. I'm dustin off my mandolin as we speak.
Take care!!

Those kind of conditions will break a hillbilly's heart. (W.C.)
Then you did the next best thing a hillbilly can do, huh? .... you put your ear against the rail track and heard every note, didn't ya'?! :o) Yes, we northern southerners are innovators by necessity.
Gosh, and here I thought I had it bad. So that means we both salivated all weekend. siiiigh. You weren't alone bud, but at least I didn't have it in my face. :os Oh well, we always have train tracks nearby. (R.S.)
