I haven't even been reading this string, the first one I read is the one below...

btw, do you have permission to reply offlist?  or are you the moderator?

here is why i used the word nefarious.  someone else had used the phrase "nefarious democrat" and i thought whomever it was ought to know that there were plenty of democrats on the list, including the owner of the site, who certainly did not deserve the adjective.  Of course, i know the meaning, perhaps the original user of the word did not?

Is anyone moderating this list?  If so, perhaps you can do something about this nonsense before everyone else decides to leave too...

Mr. Ford,

Having class and having manners is not e-mailing someone outside of an e-mail group to harass and devalue them for voicing their opinions. The fact that one would not have the courage to show their true colours to all is disturbing.

Given the recent exchanges, I can perhaps understand forwarding a link that relates to Dr. Stanley and his chosen path for participation in the American political system. But why throw in "nefarious" as a description of his choice?

Either you are deliberately trying to stir the pot even more than it has been stirred lately, or were trying to be cute, or you don't understand that "nefarious" is a highly pejorative term

Either way, it was in appropriate for the forum.
