If you can't find a good place to eat in New Orleans, you must be either asleep or dead. That town has at least a hundred of the best restaurants in the world. Some may have closed after Hurricane Katrina (lack of serving staff and cooks), but my favorites (I live there three years while working for Daylight) were K-Pauls (French Quarter) Commander's Palace (Uptown, jacket and tie) There are also dozens of fine restaurants on or near Bourbon Street, and many of them also have fantastic live music.
