Jonathan...my apologies...I run two businesses and was writing from my standard account. Duly noted that this caused a concern for you and will do my utmost to remove such cautions for the future.

I was asking the same question about SDF. InChI is definitely Open Source but has not, to the best of my knowledge, been extended and enhanced by the community while it's development has been influenced by a "committee" from the community. This approach has given good results so far but to clarify the number of developers hands is very small. There is very little documentation about InChI as yet but there is an intention to provide a lot more technical detail regarding the code. > > Rich has listed FlexMol and other than the blogposts I know very little about community adoption and involvement. AniML was derived, as far as I know, from initial work on GaML, Galactic's markup language....though GAML was to cover Generalized Analytical Markup Language (http://www.gaml.org/). > > Anyways...great question Daniel.. > > Best wishes. > > Antony Williams, > URL: www.chemspider.com > Email: [email protected] > Phone: (919) 341-8375 > Mobile: (919) 201-1516 > Fax: (919) 300-5321 > > CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE > Unless expressly stated otherwise, this message is confidential and is intended for the addressee(s) only. > If you are not an addressee, please inform the sender immediately or contact [email protected]. Hi I am new here and I love to read your discussions on open standards but I couldn't help to think that it would be nice if these discussions could be open as well. I am referring to the confidentiality notice in Antony Williams mail that clearly limits his post to only the few people that are on this list. For those of you who missed it, this is how it looks: "CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE Unless expressly stated otherwise, this message is confidential and is intended for the addressee(s) only. If you are not an addressee, please inform the sender immediately or contact [email protected]." I feel a bit sad when I realize that it makes me have to ask people around me if they are on this list before talking about things uttered on this list. Oh the irony... :-( -- // Jonathan
