Greetings all,
We have a project , funded by JISC (the UL's HE informatgics funder), which
will provide some resource (students + person) to develop novel applications
for informatics in a chemistry laboratory. It is exploratory so we have a
lot of freedom in what we do. There will be about 6 months' funded work.

One of the things we would like to do is to mock up a chemistry laboratory
in SL. This should have fume hoods , flasks and things like that - ideally
the objects may have some limited intelligence.
Are you aware of anyone who has already done this - e.g. Jean-Claude and
Egon? and if so would we be welcome to join in? JISC is very keen on
collaborative projects so it is a benefit if there is an element of
community. If there isn't such a laboratory, who would be inetrested in
helping to to develop one?

FWIW our resource can be used on software, provision of virtual objects,
documentations etc or anything else...

P.
