I am copying this into the Blue Obelisk list - the primary Open Source
meeting place for chemical software developers. There are several avid
pythonistas in the community. Actually the BO also espouses the language
independent requirements for science of Open Data and Open Standards - and
these are certainly important for your community.
I doubt that any of us can be with you but if the talk trurns to chemistry -
and it should - then there is a community ready to react immediately and
enthusiastically. True many of us use Java, a few use C++/C/C# but the
algorithms, data and glueware are generic.
