Well, PUG SOAP really doesn't have much to do with PUG from the client side, it just happens to use PUG under the hood. Ok admittedly in its first incarnation PUG SOAP was simply a PUG XML blob stuffed in a SOAP envelope... but it's not at all like that anymore. I encourage you to take a look at the current PUG SOAP API if you haven't already, and we're always open to new suggestions. It's styled as more of a traditional API than straight PUG - which yes can be complex but we gotta keep you informaticists employed somehow. ;)
REST isn't necessarily the most appropriate for the types of asynchronous and data transfer operations that PUG is largely intended for. Disclaimer: I work for NCBI and am involved in both PUG and PUG SOAP projects. - Paul -- =-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-= Paul A. | [email protected] Thiessen | http://www.ChemicalGraphics.com =-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-= On Friday, January 14, 2011, 9:47:12 AM, Rajarshi Guha wrote: RG> PUG+SOAP!!!
