Twenty-one authors have written an account of the Blue Obelisk 5 years on:
https://github.com/bopaper/bopaper/blob/master/paper.pdf
and this article will be submitted to the Journal of Cheminformatics (BMC)
in the next day or so.

Since we believe in Openness the draft is publicly available and we'd
welcome any observations or corrections from non-authors. Note that BMC
allows pre-publication od manuscripts, many other publishers of chemistry do
not. The ability to publish Open Access , though not a core part of BlueOb
mantra, has been very valuable.

This article is one of fifteen that are being collected in a special issue
arising out of the PMR symposium "Visions of a Semantic Molecular Future"
recorded at http://sms.cam.ac.uk/collection/1094849

I thank all authors for their energy and commitment and note the very
impressive collection of activities and ODOSOS carried out by the community.
The original paper 5 years ago is still being cited and I expect this new
one will also be highly read and act as a reference for those interested in
Open chemistry.
