I got notice today that OpenSRS SSL vendors are requiring 2048 bit CSR's:
Thawte (except SGC SuperCerts) - June 27, 2010
GeoTrust - July 22, 2010
VeriSign - October, 2010
Thawte SGC SuperCerts only - October, 2010
Note: this will affect cert renewals too - a new 2048 bit CSR will be
required.
I think a update to create 2048 bit by default, and maybe an option for 1024
has suddenly gotten a lot more important...
