You boot the virtual machine from the Strongbolt ISO. This is a very convoluted process, and fraught with peril (especially the rom update). There are other ways to get CentOS installed on the RaQ... Basically you need the ext3 kernel for the RaQ, a CentOS install, and the BO tarball. None of the installers will work because the RaQ won't boot the CD (for obvious reasons). There is only limited USB support included in the rom image for the RaQ (it is very small) so you can't use an external.
Honestly, I would not bother (although it would be a crash course in linux/cobalt trivia)... I have an old RaQ 4r and an XTR here gathering dust... parting them out slowly... I run BO on a give-away HP DC7100. I only spent money on the hard disks. And it has 12 times the power of the old AMD in the RaQ 3, and is 100 times quieter.
