Thanks for the response. I have looked at the other BQ/BX add-ons and on a server with just one client using the webmail, it isn't worth it to buy those add-ons, and it's like you say, they tax the hardware as well. SpamSoap looks like a good solution. I did a quick spin around their site, but wasn't able to determine costs. What would it cost to cleanse all the email on one BX box? Is it simply an MX records thing? I became very frustrated with the built in filtering of OWM and have been using a third party filter. I find it very beneficial for the following reasons: 1. The spam never reaches my BX box, so there is less load on the mail server. 2. If my BX box is down for any reason, all email is automatically held and stored for delivery at a later time when the BX box is once again available. 3. Support to the users is simple - don't use the spam filtering (either SpamAssassin or OWM's filtering); use our special spam filtering application (third party filter). 4. Growth and support of OWM appears to be stalled despite being an excellent product for many years. Eventually we will move to a newer and more flexible webmail program. There are many third party spam filtering services available. We currently use Spam Soap (www.spamsoap.com) as it gives us all the flexibility as well as a backup system for our email server. I am not sure if that is a help to your situation but as I said, we experienced the same issues and finally went elsewhere many years ago.
