Can you post the contents of both here? Depending on if there is 'more' in the 
original or the generated, there may be more work to do after.. If the 
generated one is more specific (i.e. the old one lists oids which don't exist) 
it's safe to do, but wont fix anything. If the generated index lists stuff the 
original doesn't, it needs doing for sure. the tricky bit is if the object that 
is 'extra' should be there or not. It's important to note down the exact 
differences incase you need to reverse what you do. I'd recommend backing up 
the entire codb directory before making any changes.
