Hi all, Speaking of YUM mirrors. In the last hour updates.blueonyx.it was powered by just a single VPS with nginx as webserver. I even had to take down the Varnish cache in front of it due to the ongoing outage of the rest of the mirror architecture. That will be fixed within the next hour or two, though.
Anyhow, around an hour ago the Asian BlueOnyx boxes started to hit the single mirror and it topped out at around 250.000 HTTP requests in the first 10 minutes of each hour, averaging 32.000 HTTP-requests per minute each during each of the first two minutes. I think an Apache webserver would have started hand out smoke signals at that point.
