This is no eventurin, just a openvz Its a old one but the client needs it still.
The conf file is changed with the host name and the vps restarted HOSTNAME="alpha.xxx" But the vps still uses the old hostname. uname -a Linux server3.xxxx -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Blueonyx <blueonyx-boun...@mail.blueonyx.it> Namens Michael Stauber Verzonden: donderdag 1 november 2018 20:26 Aan: blueonyx@mail.blueonyx.it Onderwerp: [BlueOnyx:22468] Re: 5107R Hi Steffan, > My client wants to change his servername Its a VPS server > > In the controlpanel there is no option under TCP/IP What is the best > way to change the name of the server? > > I allready changed it on the node. What version of Aventurin{e} is that? We recently released Aventurin{e} 6109R and you might want to get the latest version sometime down the road. See http://www.aventurin.net for more info. The hostname of VPS's can only be changed in the "VPS Basic Settings" for that VPS in the Aventurin{e} GUI. Once you changed the hostname you should restart the VPS so that all processes and services in the VPS have a chance to learn the new hostname. -- With best regards Michael Stauber _______________________________________________ Blueonyx mailing list Blueonyx@mail.blueonyx.it http://mail.blueonyx.it/mailman/listinfo/blueonyx _______________________________________________ Blueonyx mailing list Blueonyx@mail.blueonyx.it http://mail.blueonyx.it/mailman/listinfo/blueonyx
