Hi Richard, > Is there any issue with BX running on older hardware? We’ve got a Dell > R200, quad core, 8Gb RAM but I’m unable to get it installed.
I fully agree with what Chris said in [BlueOnyx:24041]. Other than that: Try to install CentOS 8 from the official ISO and see if that works for you. Depending on how that goes it gives us indications if the issue is with the 5210R installer or if it's a general CentOS 8 issue. The 5210R ISO is somewhat "special" in so far that I had to make a lot of concessions and hacks due to the absence of a properly documented and replicable method of how EL8 ISO's are supposed to be build. If the install of CentOS 8 with the official ISO works, you can still install BlueOnyx this way: https://www.blueonyx.it/5210r-manual-install And then there is also the option to use Aventurin{e} 6109R (the 1 VPS version is free) and to then simply create a 5210R VPS on it. The only downside to that is that you'll need at least two IP's: One for the Aventurin{e} node and one for (each) VPS. -- With best regards Michael Stauber _______________________________________________ Blueonyx mailing list Blueonyx@mail.blueonyx.it http://mail.blueonyx.it/mailman/listinfo/blueonyx
