Hi, sliding doors is a well known technique for creating tabs but you
can do the same to create nice looking columns as well. The benefit is
that you can use different background images for the side bar and the
content region. I don't know if this is applicable in the context of
blueprint though, I've only used it when creating fluid layouts.
