One other thing:

You really need to specify a DOCTYPE.

Without (a strict) one, ie6 will fall back into 'quirks' mode, which  
is a whole ton of bad.

A good reference is http://alistapart.com/stories/doctype/ - I suggest  
using a strict DOCTYPE
