That's odd because there is an hr right before the hr class="space", so the
printed page would have two black lines, which I think is not what you would
want.
The print would look different than the screen, which is sometimes a feature
that's wanted (Color company logos, navigation, heck even adding text to the
printed footer that doesn't appear on the screen - text like the date or
copyright).

But to have the screen look like a blank line and then print a solid line
strikes me as again, "not right".
