Just FYI, Google hosts multiple versions of the frameworks they have
on their CDN, so it's all stable. If you need an older version of
jQuery, you can call that version directly and it will never change.

I've been using their hosted versions of jQuery for years actually.
Did it with http://constructyourcss.com/, for example.
