I had this problem originally. I realized that I had been creating pages without this at the top:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd";> And not having that at the top causes IE8 to not render BluePrint stuff correctly..
