Aaron McCurry commented on BLUR-160:
------------------------------------
So I have created the monitor here:
https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf?p=incubator-blur.git;a=blob;f=blur-core/src/main/java/org/apache/blur/utils/GCWatcher.java;h=fbe0aa5d908f37650209ad5e35bf28c9071062dd;hb=46836eb2a29035a4960d4abf4af03e40d6f23a2f
I think we should add a new exception to thrift called a back pressure
exception or too busy or something like that. But no I haven't written any
actions yet, I think the first will be to cancel the running queries. Maybe
also to kill the current data fetch requests. Haven't thought much beyond that.
Aaron
> Create a back pressure feature in Blur when GC is too high.
