Dear members of the Mission, Jai Hind ! It is time again, to come together, share views and experiences, rejoice with the BM family members and give a further impetus to the Mission. We, the National Council, are glad to announce that the next National Convention of Bharat Uday Mission is going to be held at Gwalior on 14th and 15th of July'07. We have had three national conventions at Mumbai , Jaipur and Pune so far in last one-and-half years. This is the fourth national convention being held, and the first one after the Constitution came into force. The National Council will soon setup a steering committee for the convention and it will be announced soon. More details of the convention are at the end of this letter, in appendices. The further details of Venue in Gwalior, Itinerary, Directions to venue, etc. will be announced within due time. A separate call inviting suggestions on the agenda of the Convention will be made soon. Appendix - 1: ------------------ With this announcement, we: (1) Call upon and request members to start preparing for their travel and make plans. (2) Request members, after finalising their plans, to send the following details to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] : Name: Chapter: Phone: Email: Address: Date of arrival: Date of Departure: Mode of arrival/departure: Anything else, useful for organizers: Appendix-2 ------------------- Please note: * The cost of the convention shall be borne by the members attending. We'll be making our best efforts to help student/non-working members to be able to attend at no or nominal cost. The approximate cost of attendance per person will be 500 Rs for two days, including stay, food. The cost may come down or go up depending on the actual number of people attending. * The agenda of the Convention shall be decided by the National Council/Steering Committee only after considering all the suggestions. * Please write to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] about any special requirements that you may have. Appendix 3 ------------------ Provisions in Constitution about National Convention 3.7. National Convention 3.7.1. A National convention of the mission shall be held once a year. 3.7.2. The National Council can call for such a convention. 3.7.3. All active members of the mission can attend the convention. 3.7.4. The National Council should set up a steering committee at least one month before the convention. 3.7.5. All proposed draft resolutions should be forwarded through the state councils at least 2 weeks in advance. 3.7.6. All resolutions accepted by a simple majority of the steering committee members will be presented at the convention for discussion. 3.7.7.
