Welcome to the Round-Up edition of the JRS. Yes, we're calling it that. We've
watched as a veritable tsunami of stories, articles, videos and photo galleries
rolled in the last couple weeks, and we've worked hard to pull them together
for you. There's a lot to plow though, but it's all good stuff.

BURNING MAN 2013 WEBCAST SEES RECORD NUMBER OF VIEWERS
We are supremely grateful to John Graham and his team, who have worked to
provide live webcast from the playa for over 10 years. John hung up his dusty
shoes this year, and we were lucky to have a number of new volunteers step up
to take on the webcast effort in 2013.
The proclivities of the playa being what they are, it was a bumpy road to get
it up and running, but the crew persevered and got it going! (Thank you for
your patience while we ironed out the kinks.)
Despite the hiccups, viewership was up ... we had 132,000 people tune in on the
Saturday of the burn this year, up from 125,000 last year.

We don't normally post stuff like this in the JRS, but this is Kim Jong Ilo,
we're talking about ... he's the Dear Leader of the ManKrew, who -- you know --
BUILD THE MAN AND ALL? Right, so he's super bummed about this ... let's help
him out. His buddy Speshul writes:
"So, Kim Jong Ilo, Dear Leader of the ManKrew, lost his coat on the playa.
The coat is a VERY LARGE faux snow-leopard, hand-made beauty. Cowl hood,
turn-back cuffs, pockets. No labels; it was made by his sisters, Lyca
Greenfield-Smith and Sylvia Kratins, with pain, suffering and burning sewing
machines.

There are a number of articles (ahem, linkbait) and running rumors that Burning
Man is dying on the vine because CELEBRITIES and TECH TITANS (who have LOOONG
been at Burning Man, if you're keeping track) are RUINING IT ALL. We beg to
differ, since these folks are a mere drop in the ~68,000 participant bucket and
see also: radical inclusion. But oh boy does the media love its celebrities

Man, photographing the burn from the Man's point of view. Unfortunately,
because of problems with the WiFi download, the entire project was an ambitious
failure.
