All It is with some sadness I write to inform you of the untimely death of one of colleagues in Sydney.
Tony Winter, a biomedical engineer known to many of us, headed up his own company called NEOMEDIX, operating out of the northern beaches suburbs in Sydney. Tony has been in the industry since the early to mid seventies, designing and manufacturing urology diagnostic equipment, and importing and selling various products to the Australian medical devices market. Tony was killed last weekend, I believe on Sunday 9th March, during some very strong winds which hit Sydney when he was struck, and killed, by a falling limb from a large tree. For those of us who knew him, Tony was always one of those 'characters' of the industry, and will be sadly missed by many. I'm advised his funeral will be held in Sydney on Tuesday 18 March, but regret I have no further details.
