There are a couple of jobs going in Timor Leste - please read on for details and have a look at the
terms of reference for the two positions. _______________________________________________________________________ We are after two (2) experienced Biomedical Engineering Technicians (BMETs) to assist in developing the Biomedical Engineering Service in Timor-Leste. The successful applicants will be involved in: . training Timorese BMETs, . conducting preventative maintenance and routine testing of medical equipment, . repairing medical equipment , . assisting in developing maintenance manuals, and . travelling to the outlying Districts to provide outreach BME services One position has an emphasis on electronic medical equipment while the other is more concerned with electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and plant. If appointed, you will be working with a team of BMETs who have been trained in Indonesia and an expatriate biomedical engineer to develop a service of excellence for Timor-Leste. As well as wide experience you will need to be fluent in both written/spoken English, and spoken Bahasa Indonesia to allow you to communicate with the engineer, technicians and staff of the hospitals of Timor-Leste.
