Hi all biomedical service staff,

I am preparing a paper on the health risk of biomedical engineers and service
staff. There is anecdotal information that biomeds have received infections
through work though there is no published info.

I would like to know more accurately:

a) Have you or any of any of your colleagues developed work-related
infections or illnesses?
Or had an incident/close call - needing blood tests for example?
Some details would be great: method of transmission (screwdriver gash, existing
wound, no wound), infection type, time off work required.

b) The number of biomeds in your department who have not developed any
work-related infections or illnesses?

I would appreciate any information you may have. Names & locations will be kept
confidential though I may ring and confirm details if necessary.

Regards,
