We have a vacancy for a Biomedical Technician located at The Tweed Hospital. The hospital is located about 1km from the Queensland boarder which is also the southern end of the Gold Coast. Our department looks after an area extending from the boarder down to Byron Bay and Bangalow. This is Australia's premier tourist destination with plenty of Surf, Sun, Fishing and Rainforest, the area also has three large University campuses and it's just over 1hour from Brisbane City.

Participate in and contribute to the development of quality improvement systems with respect to biomedical engineering services. Selection Criteria Associate Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualifications &/or experience. Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with biomedical equipment in a clinical environment. Proven analytical skills in fault finding & problem solving in general electronics and the application of medical equipment. Demonstrated knowledge and application of multi -skilling principles including an understanding of governing Australian Standards relevant to biomedical equipment. Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to produce quality work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
