So much for court.. The officer never turned in my ticket! I'm "supposed to" call the clerk's office every week and see if it has been filed, and/or they'll send me a letter telling me when to come back to court. And if I get a letter (at my home address, 200 miles away..) then I'm supposed to call and ask for it to be transferred to Magistrate Court for a bench trial, or something like that... They confused me, and they didn't seem too interested in my ticket anyway. Could be that the officer decided he was in error before he filed it, or he lost it, or he forgot, but in any case he was negligent about the matter. It's been over a month, and past the court date, so even if he does file it, I'll have one up on him already! I've decided to just forget about it :) I'm glad I didn't "just pay it"... *whew* >From my limited judicial experience, I give you all this advice. First-time digest poster (and BMW owner) here -- hope technical issues are OK! The problem: Took apart the intake system this weekend to try to track down a misfire problem on my 89 325is. While cleaning the gunk off of fuel injector tips with a *soft bristled* toothbrush, a small (3 mm long) piece of one orange plastic "ridge" broke off. These ridges turn to "fingers" about 1/2 way from the nozzle to the o-ring (hope this is clear). It was the upper half that broke, so the break is about 3-5 mm away from the nozzle itself. The question: Is this upper part of the ridge critical to the spray pattern? Should I use it as is? I am considering cleaning it and using superglue. Anyone want to sell me an injector? Should I be concerned with "mismatching" one new or used injector with the other 5 with 117k mi? I guess that was more than on question. This car will be seeing frequent auto-x use, and occasional track use. Please copy my email with any response.
