Neil,

I'm sure this will be doubly painful given your 28.8k connection, but if you
have a second (and a bit of free disk space), the BMW film player is worth
the download for one reason. No, it doesn't really give you any bigger,
clearer, or better playback as claimed, but so far it is the only way I have
found to access the "Director commentary" voice-over track that you already
have downloaded with the film. The Guy Ritchie one ("Star") is very funny
and worth the download by itself. The woman in the film is Madonna, as has
been mentioned, and she is playing a "super bitch" per Ritchie. They used a
stunt double for the parts where she got tossed around, but the rest is
definitely her. He mentions more than once that she was in the movie
because yes, she is his wife. One of the many benefits, I am sure.

Subject: [uuc] <FS> (5) 17x8 IFG A5 Wheels for E36 + Supersprint E36 M3 Stainless Exh.

Hello everyone,

I have the following items for sale. Everything is located in Raleigh, NC
and the prices below do not include shipping from zip code 27607:

- -(5) IFG A5 17x8 wheels, E36 fitment. At 17 lbs. each, these are great
track wheels. All of the wheels are true/ round. A couple have some
kerbing on them, but I have had two sets of tires mounted since that time
with no problems. If you are local (within driving distance) I can include
the set of 225/45-17 G-Force T/As currently mounted. Asking $1100 for all 5
plus shipping.

- -Supersprint All stainless E36 M3 Cat Back Exhaust System with straight
chrome tips. Purchased new/ installed in 1/00. Has about 2,000 miles on
it. This is significantly lighter than the OEM system, is recognized for
the fact that it makes great power, and the craftsmanship is truly
outstanding. This is definitely a lifetime product. Retails new for
$700 - $750. Looking to get $450 for this item not including shipping from
27607.

Feel free to contact me with questions and thanks for the B/W.

So you're the guy that got the joy ride sliding all
over the track! Jeff told me he had someone in the
car and the thing was all over the place because his
new coilovers weren't set up right yet. laugh, sounds
like fun to me! The car is wicked fast. He's a good
friend of mine, we were over at his place last
Saturday trying to muck with the brakes on my E12,
damn crappy rebuilt calipers.

Anyway, email me offline and I'll give you his info.
If anyone on the list is interested, here are some
pics we took of his car:

The link does really work, you just have to hit reload
a few times because Geocities sucks.

WAY WAY off topic.

I know some of us on these lists are geeks. I know some of us on these lists
drink. I know some of us do both. For those people I created
intergalactickegger.com, the world's only portal for photos of geeks
drinking. Check out other company's geeks and then submit your own photos.

I was bored at work so I built it. Thanks for letting me waste some space on
the list.

Guys and Gals,

I am now selling my 1998 M3/4. I have had my fun and now is the time to
move on. The car was just shot for a feature in a major Euro car magazine.
Included with the car are 4 17x8.5" stock M3 wheels, 3 17x7.5" M3 stock
wheels, the stock brakes, all the stock stereo stuff minus the CD changer,
and whatever else anyone wants to get out of my garage and storage unit. I
am only entertaining serious offers, but my price is not too obnoxious. I've
been telling interested parties that I am look for an offer right about $40k.
I think it's pretty fair, but I'm willing to talk about any SERIOUS offers.
Please email me in private so we don't use up any more digest space than
absolutely necessary. The details on the car are listed below.

I always throw this out when looking for cats: Random Technology
(www.randomtechnology.com).

Although they may not have a bolt-on for your car, a generic-fit unit with
custom ends welded on will probably end up costing around the same as the
DEC, but from what I have seen the RT unit is very impressive. It is a true
"performance" cat with an impressive design, details on their web site.

I put the RT on the M5 Turbo to pass emissions.

How about those old "Herbie" movies, where Herbie gets cut in half, but
still keeps on going? Now THAT's a quality car...

Which Speedvision series? The one where everyone crashes into each
other or the other one? ;-P

BTW in the other M5 advertisement movie, uh "Ronin" <g>, they perform a
heel-n-toe downshift (or at least it sounds like it), focus on the
shifter and they also show off the ///M knob, the stunt driver grabbed
the shifter from the top though.

"Star" is also my favorite except I wouldn've picked that "whoo-hoo"
song, it annoys me and it seemed like it's been done. In a commercial
perhaps?

Without a doubt. I owned a 1995 E36, which I would just look at parked.
IMO, an absolutely beautiful car. When I was in the market for another
BMW, fall of 1999, I could not believe the bloated form of the E46. It did
have the interior room that the E36 was missing, but please, what an
attempt at turning a beautiful Teutonic style into one from Hokkaido.
Driving every model of the E46, including the M3, has not changed my
opinion of this car. Think Acura, and you've got it.

When the E39 first came out, I really disliked it as well, seeing it shaped
as a Buick might be. However, as it and I age, it is looking better (can't
see myself in a 7 series, just too big, but current model is pleasant to
look at).

Future BMWs I've seen are preposterous, with the possible exception of the
new Z3. For my part, I'm beginning to shop MB... what a sad state of
affairs.
