Experience with ML35 0's? You should be able to get at least an idea of the lease price on BMWNA's website. FWIW, I HATE bad service. That would probably seal the deal for me--but if your wife really likes the X5, she may not be as happy in the Benz. I made this mistake when I bought my Saab. It a great car & all, but not the one I really wanted, & I've regretted it since. I would think the ML350 should be comparable to the X5 in every way--maybe better in some. If you choose the Benz, I'd definitely send a letter to BMWNA telling them that your treatment at their dealer was the deciding factor. A static presentation that completely ignores the benefits available as a DVD. Kind of weird that they didn't make more of the opportunity. (94 or newer is better for the dual airbags) - - Auto or 5-speed is okay. - - Any color is okay as long as the interior is either black. Gray interior is also a consideration. - - Interior condition should be reasonable (the seats will be replaced, so wear there is okay) - - Absolutely no accidents - - Preferably a 4-door but will consider a 2-door if the car is right. Even if the car is not running, I will consider it as long as the price reflects the condition. I am planning on making this purchase in the next month or so. Experience with ML35 0's? I agree that the sales people at the BMW dealer didn't treat Larry like they should, but I don't think you can necessarily infer anything about the service department from that. Like Lee says, buy what you like. The ML is a truck and the X5 is a car. Which way do you want to go? Experience with ML35 0's? She definitely likes the look of the X5 better (who doesn't). But as far as the ride, she really doesn't care. The X5 that she drove was a non-sport. She drove a 99 ML430 and a 2000 ML320 and she liked them both. I've heard that the newer ML's drive even better still. BMWNA's site is ok for an idea, but the lease rates are based off of MSRP. I am also not sure if the residuals and Money Factor are current. Does anyone know the current Money factor and Residual for both the X5 and the ML? Also, how negotiable is the lease finance rate? My wife did call and leave a message for the Sales Manager. But I think I'll send a letter either way.
