I have bought an engine and transmission (an S50 for my E30!) off Ebay,
contingent on
examination by a local mechanic of my choice. Can anyone suggest a mechanic
in the Tampa area who might do the examination for me? The engine is in a
wrecked car in the suburb of Oldsmar; closer is better.

Group,
I didn't think M5's had them, but I've now seen M5's with front park
distance control. My 2000 M5 has it in the rear, but not in the front.
My 2001 X5 didn't have PDC when I purchased it new, but it took me 30
seconds to find out that the BMW parts department sold the retrofit kit.
Does such a kit exist for my M5?

A good resource is the E36 M3 email list:
http://www.bmw-m.net/Resources/digest_application.htm
A decent on-line forum that doesn't have too much noise is Bimmerforums:
http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/
Hope that helps,
