No modification was made to h/w detection of Knoppix. Get the source of Knoppix, it is the same as shabdix. Just installed FarsiKDE (you can get the PO files of FarsiKDE if you want from the FarsiKDE project) and changed some files in /etc to accomodate this change in language. There are also a slight change in the programs included, we have removed some trivial ones which are in Knoppix, and added some that we thought were missing. No specific code has been written for Shabdix, to my knowledge.
