Hi :)

I think my preference would be for the mailing lists to have
@global.libreoffice.org addresses but that is assuming it is fairly easy to
move
the list of subscribers.

The .org is best looking ending. People still seem most familiar with .com but
.org is highly prized and well regarded.

Regards from
Tom :)

Subject: [steering-discuss] relocating mailing lists at libreoffice.org?

Hello,

on the steering-discuss list, we currently discuss about @libreoffice.org
e-mail
addresses for community members. Just focusing on the technical issues for this
mail:

I would like to have those e-mail forwarders handled by a separate mail server,
independent from the mailing list server. However, we have a few listes
directly
@libreoffice.org, which makes things complicated.

There are two options for this issue:

    a.) We could use @libreoffice.net or some other domain ending (TLD) for
those e-mail addresses

    b.) We move the mailing lists @libreoffice.org to some subdomain (like
[email protected] => [email protected])

Thoughts on that?

Florian
