I live in Southern California, where we air condition (not heat) most of the
year. I had radiant barrier thermal insulation installed in my attic (there was
already a foot of fiberglass in the attic floor) and it effectively RF shielded
the interior, killing reception of the already weak WWVB 60 kHz signal. The
radiant barrier is essentially heavy cardboard coated both sides with aluminum
foil. It also greatly weakened the GPS signal. Something to think
