Hi guys, I built the new BOINC Manager from source (trunk) last night and while it works great, I see the same problem I had a while ago. I run two instances of BOINC Manager, one to keep an eye on the local system, one to keep an eye on the TV server in the other room.
I noticed this effect with BOINC 6.6.28 as well: When I right click on the BOINC icon for the remotely checked BOINC, and go exit, I immediately get logged out of the client running on the local system. Yes, "Enabled Manager exit dialog?" is on in both BOINC versions, but I never get the dialog when exiting the GUI for the remote machine. It shouldn't be able to ask me if I want to quit the client on the remote machine, not without the correct permissions at least. Now it not even asking me if I want to exit the running client and applications **on the remote system** isn't much of a problem. It is a problem that exiting this BM exits the client and science apps on the local system and that it does that without even asking me anything (it does this silently). Other than that, it works fine. Rather nippy as well. -- -- Jord. _______________________________________________ boinc_dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/boinc_dev To unsubscribe, visit the above URL and (near bottom of page) enter your email address.
