but that's a pretty big client change for something that's fundamental to
the client and has worked for millions of cases. I really think the more
sensible option is to move compression to the app (i.e. as I mentioned
before and gets ignored ;-) rather than try to jiggle around the client &
libcurl. otherwise we risk fixing something for IBM that breaks it for
everyone else.
