It would be nice to distribute a VM where you could just start it, configure the network and then administer it completely from a web interface. I've seen some nice UI's for EC2 that do similar things (RightScale comes to mind). The BOINC admin scripts are easy to use, but having a good web interface would lower the bar even further.
There would need to be a root web app for the entire server (as apposed to an app per project). I would be interested in helping/contributing to this if anyone is interested in making it happen. -- Jeremy On Thu, Jul 23, 2009 at 10:18 AM, David Anderson <[email protected]>wrote: > Do you know about the single-job submission mechanism? > http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/SingleJob > > It's not web-based, but it's simple. > > Jack Shultz wrote: > > Hello, > > Last night I gave an introduction to the BOINC server to a grad student. > It > > was nice to hear a new prospective on the system.
