This is not what synecdoche does. In fact it doesn't delete files except 
the few cases were BOINC would delete them as well. We (or at least I) 
were talking about files that were deleted by the user. Downloading them 
while they are not required may be usefull in some situations but I'd 
say it's useless in most situations.
