Are you sure the client software was reporting a client type of
'x86-64-pc-linux-gnu' instead of 'x86_64-pc-linux-gnu'?

You can release it if you want - but I will not be using it.

There are some projects which will accept neither the x86-64
platform not the anonymous platform. To participate, I run the
32-bit boinc client (even though the machine is (Linux) 64-bit).

When I loaded the 6.10.11 32-bit client into that machine, I did not
notice that it had identified the platform it was running on as
'x86-64'. When I connected to the internet, the project rejected
all the uploads as coming from an unsupported platform. I lost one
whole day's crunching on a multi-core system.

I went back to 6.4.5 - and that's where that machine will stay.
