Since i last posted last about this issue, i've got myself an ATI
HD4650 and rebuilt my 32bit XP3200 machine,
after a bit of a hassel getting the GPU installed, and windows to boot
afterwards, it's now running,
i set about helping Raistmer with testing the SSE only Hybrid
Astropulse app,
after problems with original SSE app not being quite SSE only, there's
now a proper SSE Hybrid app in Beta testing,
Because i had a suspicion that 'Maximum elapsed time exceeded' wasn't
fixed totally,
(I'd recently seen one other slow AMD with fast GPU still getting
'maximum time exceeded')
i set it to work on Seti Beta, and the XP3200 / HD4650 had done about
50% to 60% in about 24 hours,
when it finished with a computational error, and 'Maximum elapsed time
exceeded',
so further tweaks are required.

Here's another host still suffering from it too (Athlon X2 3800+ with
a HD 4700/4800):

There are other AMD's in my list (in the Hybrid app thread on Seti
Beta) suffering,
but the owners now seem to just abort the Hybrid Wu's, rather than
doing them,
and none of them have bothered reporting their problems.
