I've just checked in a boinc_samples.sln file which should be used by
projects as a roadmap for building applications.

I'm going to go ahead and install VS 2010 Express Edition (I previously
only had the RC installed on my machine) and see what new surprises are
in store.

I forgot that VS 2008 removed the opengl32.dll libs from their SDK, I
don't know if that is still true for 2010.

I am having difficulty compiling BOINC on a Windows Vista Machine. The 
instructions for compilation refer to MS Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition

and then asks that several tweaks be performed to keep the system 
cross-platform-compatible. The current release, MS Visual C++ 2010 
Express Edition does not allow these or seemingly any other tweaks to 
remove ".Net" functionality which is a requirement of BOINC. Should this

be flagged or is there another work-around? The tutorials were found on
