I've just checked in a boinc_samples.sln file which should be used by projects as a roadmap for building applications.
I'm going to go ahead and install VS 2010 Express Edition (I previously only had the RC installed on my machine) and see what new surprises are in store. I forgot that VS 2008 removed the opengl32.dll libs from their SDK, I don't know if that is still true for 2010. ----- Rom -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Shane Reilly Sent: Monday, May 24, 2010 5:15 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [boinc_dev] Compilation Documentation - MSVC++ 2010 I am having difficulty compiling BOINC on a Windows Vista Machine. The instructions for compilation refer to MS Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition and then asks that several tweaks be performed to keep the system cross-platform-compatible. The current release, MS Visual C++ 2010 Express Edition does not allow these or seemingly any other tweaks to remove ".Net" functionality which is a requirement of BOINC. Should this be flagged or is there another work-around?
