Okay... I was forced to change my email address from the one I used since Boinc Started (2005) when I set it up and really started using the Seti Boinc Account. What then happened is somewhat close to CHAOS. Obviously the email hash is going to change.. But WHY does the Cross Project Identifier need to be changed in the production of stats output?

There is only PROOF that it HAPPENS! So my "historical reference" is NOW trashed... I am Impressed (Why) What this does: Members of Teams in Credit races "breaks" the statistics that are used worldwide. Members that "thought they had a recovery for their accounts," for their "history" who are forced to change email addresses are hung out to dry. Members as a result who have Projects that are down (Maintenance or Retired) have no recourse and are really upset (right now I only have a 2.8 million credits hanging out there see old). Critical? No, it does not break the Server. It only breaks the USER! Once a user is established, there is no reason to change the Cross Project ID. It is hard enough to "sync it" when adding a new project. One would almost have to think it "should" track email hash_old + Cross Project ID and the add hash_new + the same Cross Project ID. The use tables could be updated and then projects that could not be contacted (down) would make little difference. This is probably one of those things that "users" have "suffered" with no place to report it and no idea of what to say. Who just uninstall Boinc.
