It is possible that the issue is somehow related to Apache, because I don't 
remember changing anything else before it started happening. I didn't touch the 
Apache's config for like a year, however I'm upgrading to latest versions 
frequently.
I'm running Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) PHP/5.2.6-1+lenny9 with Suhosin-Patch, it's 
behind reverse-proxy which is also Apache (the same version), so I guess the 
risk is doubled (however, dnetc.net had the same issue and as far as I know, 
their server doesn't use proxy of any type).
