Somehow this is getting lost. Since it has been a while since I tried
this, I may have had to do two upgrades of BOINC in the middle.

Keep in mind that the Windows Install technology stores any existing value
of the screensaver registry setting during the install and then is supposed
to automatically revert back to that value during the uninstall of BOINC.

So if the volunteer had a 3D fish pond screensaver before installing BOINC
for the first time it'll be reverted back to that screensaver when BOINC is
upgraded (The upgrade process uninstalls the older BOINC before installing
the new one.)

Reproduction steps:

1) Install BOINC and allow BOINC to use its screen saver.
2) Change the screen saver.
3) Install a newer version of BOINC and tell it to not use the BOINC
screen saver.

The screen saver should now be blank.

Now, you say that as well. I have seen someone in the forums say that
earlier.
He had his screen saver set up as Blank, then went from 6.10.58 to
6.12.26 and said to the installer not to use a screen saver, so he
ended up with no screen saver.

I have sat here for half a day, set screen saver as Blank first, then
went uninstalling present version of BOINC and installing an older
version, then upgrading to 6.12.26, then to 6.12.33.
I could NOT reproduce that. My screen saver setting in Windows stayed
at Blank. And I do use Windows 7 64bit Ultimate.

So, some extra thing in UAC then that I may have disabled? (Mine is on
at the default level, btw)
