Dear all,

Some of our users are reporting that when we published some images in the
News forum and as a Notice, the BOINC Manager got frozen and in one case
one of our volunteers discovered that the process was a zombie.

Are the external links (like images) loaded in the background as in web
browsers? I'm asking this, because one possible cause for the freeze could
be that the UI is not responsive until all the external resources have been
loaded. Is the HTML parser a custom library or is it using WebKit or Gecko?

Cheers,

Daniel
