It's a common problem that users have set preferences to their liking on the website and then for one reason or another look at the local ones and press 'OK' to close the window, instead of Cancel or the red X - not realising this will result in the local (default) preferences to be used. Could the button lables be changed to 'Save and exit' and 'Exit (without save)'? Or if Windows schemes are adhered to adding the 'Apply' button. that should also make it more obvious 'Ok' results in a save?
