I was looking at the SourceCodeGit wiki page and noticed it only mentioned the git protocol for read only access. You might consider adding (for read only access) the http protocol as well. Some institutions, such as mine, block the port that git uses. Yes, I have contacted my firewall admins about opening it for my workstation, but there is no reason to *have* to use git protocol just for reading a repository, when port 80 is always open. Just a thought.
