Is there any easy way of gzipping the job input files? I have a number of 20MB files which I'd like to make sticky and gzip to move them to the client.
The wiki (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/FileCompression) says if there is demand the mechanism will be extended, does anyone know if it has? Otherwise I guess I'll just have to gzip them on the server and gunzip them at the other end. I've been using the gzip for application version files up to now, but as the number of files has grown I was going to try and lazy download them.
