By the way, I would use .42 instead of .40 There would be some parsing weirdness in .40

It should follow the same structure as an app_info.xml file would for either an ATI card or Nvidia card. Values the client parses: coproc structure tag: coproc_intel_gpu GPU type: intel_gpu Server defaults: Plan class: opencl_intel_gpu_101 ----- Rom -----Original Message----- From: Raistmer [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, December 10, 2012 3:11 AM To: Rom Walton; [email protected] Subject: Re: [boinc_dev] BOINC 7.0.40 and Intel OpenCL GPU detection: half baked? Thanks. Rom, any ideas how it should appear in app_info ? I already have Intel GPU app (the strength of OpenCL portability here, all that needed is just to change vendor ID string + remove M_PI redefinition, cause Intel includes some headers silently) and would like to test it online... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rom Walton" <[email protected]> To: "Raistmer" <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, December 09, 2012 10:57 PM Subject: RE: [boinc_dev] BOINC 7.0.40 and Intel OpenCL GPU detection: half baked? We went through a round of bug fixing on Friday night/Saturday morning. The code was written and had to be debugged over IRC since we did not have a machine in-house to debug with. You can check-out the latest private drops here: http://www.romwnet.org/files/boinc.intel.x86.zip http://www.romwnet.org/files/boinc.intel.x64.zip I'll have a new build out tomorrow which includes those bug fixes. ----- Rom -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Raistmer Sent: Sunday, December 09, 2012 2:42 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [boinc_dev] BOINC 7.0.40 and Intel OpenCL GPU detection: half baked? I bought Ivy Bridge CPU (APU in AMD terms), installed Intel OpenCL SDK 2012, compiled SETI AstroPulse v 6 OpenCL app for Intel GPU and now trying to get work for it from SETI beta. Was quite surprised how BOINC 7.0.40 detects Intel GPU. Look: 12/9/2012 10:26:54 PM | | OpenCL: ATI GPU 0: Intel(R) HD Graphics 2500 (driver version 8.15.10.2656, device version OpenCL 1.1, 1624MB, 1624MB available) ATI GPU 0 (!!!!) I think if AMD guys will see this they will laugh and Intel guys probably will suit Berkeley for such copyright infringement: their super top technology called ATI GPU ROFL ;) So, seriously, how Intel GPU should be called in app_info ? _______________________________________________ boinc_dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/boinc_dev To unsubscribe, visit the above URL and (near bottom of page) enter your email address. _______________________________________________ boinc_dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/boinc_dev To unsubscribe, visit the above URL and (near bottom of page) enter your email address. _______________________________________________ boinc_dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/boinc_dev To unsubscribe, visit the above URL and (near bottom of page) enter your email address.
