That's right but all of this shouldn't make a difference when comparing v1 vs. v2, should it? However, I also ran into problems when I tried to apply commits from v1 to v2. You may have a look at this effort here: https://gitmaster.atlas.aei.uni-hannover.de/einsteinathome/boinc-v2 For instance, I can't cleanly apply David's v1 commit 9419924 to samples/atiopencl/atiopencl.cpp since the line endings in the commit (patch) are different than in the file being patched. I also tried to move the .gitattributes commit to the beginning but that caused troubles the other way round...
